"Hey Wesley,
At the risk of sounding dorky, I just thought I would share a quick tidbit of
news with you. I found out a couple days ago that I got into Case Western. I
suppose my interview went well after all ... haha. Needless to say I'm a bit
surprised and very excited.
I'm not sure whether I'll end up there (depending on the outcome of an
interview I had last Saturday) but it's quite a relief to know that I'm on my
way to med school at the end of the summer (especially when one of the options
is Case!)
Anyways, I wanted to thank you again for your honest and constructive help
during my application process- it was super helpful (and obviously effective!)"
G, Massachusetts
"Ron was very honest about my chances. He helped me with
making my weaknesses appear better on my application and his essay revisions
were great." T, Oklahoma
"UIC called and offered me a place in the fall class. I'll be starting
med school in Chicago next month!!!! I'm so happy and excited! Thank you for
being so patient, kind and helpful during this process - your advice was right
on." L, Illinois
"Hi Dr. Hsu,
I just wanted to say thanks for
your help in terms of editing my personal statement and speaking to me about the
application process. You also gave me advice on how to raise my score on the
MCAT: I had previously received a 25 on the MCATs twice and was struggling with
the exam. Your advice certainly paid off. I was able to raise my score to a 34
on my third try. That helped me eventually get into a few medical schools, and I
feel very lucky (and happy) to let you know that I will be matriculating at
University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in September." T,
California
"It has been a long road and is not yet finished, but I'm really looking
forward to it all, especially now that I'll be at a US school. Thanks again for
all your help and please keep in touch." S, India
"Dear Dr. Jones,
I had my interview, as you know, on Wednesday. Most of the
questions were the questions from the mock interview. Thanks for your input. It
really helped me out." D, Illinois
"Hi Dr. Wu, I just wanted to let you know that
I will be starting med school in September at the University of Western Ontario.
I received my acceptance in early June, and it was a first-round offer.
Thank you for all your help. I think your feedback and advice was quite
beneficial to my preparation this time around." A, Canada
"Dear Dr. Hsu,
Thanks for all of your help with my application process this summer and fall.
Yesterday I was accepted to GWU School of Medicine! Yeah!! It was my first
choice school so I'm pretty sure I will be there next fall. What a relief to
have my application process finished so early in the year!
Your help with my AMCAS, personal statement, and interview preparation really
paid off.
Thanks again!!" S, Virginia
"Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I received admissions to
University of
Illinois. Thank you for your help and advice during this process." N,
Illinois
"Wesley is extremely helpful and I appreciate his honest and
constructive feedback." N, Canada
"I didn't even know how to begin a year ago. You gave me advice and
helped me sort out what I needed to say as an older, nontraditional applicant.
Your assessment was dead on. I thought any chance I had to get into med school
had passed me by. I'm incredibly happy you proved me wrong!" B,
California
"I'm in!!! I'm in!!! I'm in!!! I feel so much relief right now and I
can't believe that I haven't even heard from all of my schools yet. My worst
case scenario is ... I'm in!!!" L, Massachusetts
"Dr. Wu,
Hi, I hope you are doing well. I had an exciting day today, I got acceptance
letters from Drexel MD and Penn State MD/PhD." M, Nebraska
"Hi David,
I want to take the opportunity to say 'thank you' for the service I just had.
Wesley and I talked - the first half of the conversation was the mock interview
and the second was his feedback for me from the interview. I want to say that
overall I am very satisfied - his comments are speedy, honest, sincere, and
constructive. Now I know what to expect and how to improve myself. I am so much
more confident with my interviews starting next week.
Thank you both very much." Y, Illinois
"Hello, I want to thank both of you [Tim and
Bonnie] for helping me prepare for my USC interview.
Fortunately, I got accepted! Thank you for your help. I appreciate it. I just
wanted to let you guys know." G, California
"Hello! How are you? You helped me with the
personal statement portion of my AMCAS application over the summer and I just
thought I'd let you know, I got in at three places! Thank you so much for your
excellent advice and patience. You are a credit to your profession."
J, Louisiana
"Dear Wesley,
I hope this finds you well. I
just wanted to send you an email sharing the good news. I just received the
letter indicating that I was accepted into the MSTP at the University of
Pittsburgh. I am absolutely thrilled. It's an incredible feeling. Thank you
again for everything you have done for me. I really appreciate it. I'm still
continuing on in the process (I am actually traveling to the Bronx today for an
interview at Albert Einstein tomorrow), but it is definitely nice to have one
under my belt. So far I've interviewed at Pitt, Rochester, and Robert Wood
Johnson Medical School. Tomorrow is Einstein, and in a few weeks I'll be going
to Case Western. A few schools have dropped off my list because of the Pitt
offer, but I'm still waiting to hear from most of the remaining schools, so
we'll see what ends up happening. New Jersey Medical School and UConn both
invited me for interviews but I canceled them and Cornell decided to not invite
me for an interview. Hopefully I'll have the lucky dilemma of having to choose
between offers. And if not, I really enjoyed Pitt (I liked it the best of the
three I've interviewed with so far) and know that I will be happy there if
that's where I end up. I'll keep you up to date and to get your opinion once
those decisions role around.
Talk to you soon," B,
Rhode Island
"Out of all the investments I have made (stocks, MCAT course, etc.) your
services was clearly the best one!" D, Washington
