The fees on this page are for the services of Doug Braithwaite, Harvard MBA and former HBS Director of MBA Admissions.

Hourly Rate

Doug's hourly rate is US$375. If you choose the hourly payment option, you will not pay us for services you do not desire and you will always be in charge of how we spend our time for you.

We strongly encourage you to start with an initial consultation. We can conduct this by phone or in person if you happen to live near Doug.

In a one hour initial consultation Doug can:

• assess your candidacy;

• advise you on how to best highlight your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses;

• recommend the best business schools for you based on your background, preferences, and future career goals; and

• formulate a detailed action plan to ensure you are optimally positioned for your fall applications.

If you are happy with Doug, you can apply the cost of this first hour paid to the price of a multiple application package. This will ensure your expectations match Doug's for your chances of gaining admission to the schools you are targeting in the application package.

Mock Interviews

Our mock interview package consists of a coaching session and two mock interviews, both of which can be recorded if you have a webcam. Doug will do the mock interview and use his extensive experience to ensure you are ready for the "real thing." After reviewing your background information in advance, Doug will conduct a mock interview and then provide you with detailed feedback for any areas of improvement. The fixed-fee price for this service is $1,300.

Please note that due to capacity restraints, Doug will only be providing HBS mock interviews to clients with whom we assisted with this application.

New! Team Option for Doug Braithwaite

Get the best of both worlds! Under this option, you will have an initial consultation with Doug to benefit from his expertise in strategy and decide how to position yourself as an MBA candidate. Doug will go over essay topic selection and letters of reference with you. After this consultation, you will work with Mennette Larkin, a former Associate Director of Admission at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business who also spent two years on the admissions committee at Chicago Booth, to write and polish your admissions essays. (Mennette will be participating in the initial calls with Doug.) Your package concludes with a final hour of consultation with Doug per application, in which you can discuss your essays further or prepare for interviews.

Package options are described below. We encourage you to just prepay 1 hour upfront. If you decide to pursue a 3, 5, or 7 application package, we will allow you to deduct the $375 paid for the first hour from the price of the silver, gold, or platinum packages. These packages include comprehensive services with no hidden charges!

Doug's Team Option rates are:

Single Package (1 application): $5,000 (the initial consultation is not deductible)

Silver Package (3 applications): $7,400 ($7,025 after the initial consultation)

Gold Package (5 applications): $9,500 ($9,125 after the initial consultation)

Platinum Package (7 applications): $11,400 ($11,025 after the initial consultation)

Fixed-Fee Waitlist Assistance

Doug will review a business school application that landed you on the waitlist. He will share with you the probable reasons for the waitlist and advise you on the best way to handle this situation. Doug will provide you with professional assistance with any material he feels you should submit to the program such as a letter reiterating your interest in the program, an additional letter of reference, etc. The fixed-fee price for this service is $1,200.

Fixed-Fee Ding Analysis

Doug will review an application that resulted in a rejection. He will share with you the probable reasons for the ding and will advise you on what you could have done to increase your acceptance chances. You will also receive an assessment of your chances as a b-school re-applicant as well as an action plan to ensure you are optimally positioned for those future applications. The fixed-fee price for this service is $1,000.
