Thank
you to the more than 150 people who participated in this poll.
Here are the results and our analysis.
Question:
Which admissions factor, as an
MBA applicant, concerns you the most?

There are many different admissions factors that the
admissions committees at the selective business schools consider. Needless
to say, as indicated by the admissions statistics these schools publish, a wide
range of GMAT scores, work experience, and GPAs are encompassed by each incoming
class. The most important takeaway from this is that one poor
admissions factor will not automatically keep you from gaining an acceptance to
your top-choice MBA program – especially if you have a good "story,"
or theme, to tell and your weaknesses are properly mitigated.
Perhaps we should not have been surprised to see so
many surfers select the essay as their biggest concern. Most surfers to
our site are probably very concerned with their essays. Additionally, most
of our clients target the top 20 business schools and the majority of these
clients only gained the ambition to apply to these schools because of their
stellar backgrounds.
Yes, the essays are important and they are the most
useful way to distinguish yourself from the thousands of other highly-qualified
applicants. However, grammatically-correct essays by themselves will not
gain you admission into your top-choice school. We are a comprehensive
admissions consulting firm and we will also ensure your essays answer the
questions in the way the admissions committees most want to see. We can do
this because we have
admissions committee experience. Email us to learn more about how we can help you.
We update our poll periodically and we will continue
to archive the results of the previous polls so you can see how other
business school applicants voted on those topics as well.
