AdmissionsConsultants proudly announces
that Douglas Braithwaite has joined the Firm as an MBA admissions consultant.
After earning a Ph.D. from MIT, Doug attended Harvard
Business School where he earned his MBA. He later served
as Director of MBA Admissions at HBS and he made,
literally, tens of thousands of accept/reject/waitlist
decisions for HBS during this time. In his capacity of
Director of MBA Admissions, Doug refined or reinforced
existing rigorous subjective and concrete admissions
procedures. Most of those procedures remain in place to
this day. At one point, the classes he admitted had the
lowest failure rate in the history of HBS. As part of
his office, he also served on various national panels
and committees.
Doug has remained actively involved with the HBS
admissions office and, as part of Dean Clark's
initiative, he has read applications and developed
additional procedures focused on admitting stronger
technical students with less 'traditional' MBA
backgrounds. Before joining AdmissionsConsultants, he
successfully coached scores of sponsored corporate
employees with their applications to HBS and other
top-tier programs. Finally, Doug is also the
co-architect of the of the admissions process at MIT's
Leaders for Manufacturing Program.
"We are very excited to welcome Doug as
the newest consultant to our Firm and we believe his employment is a
clear testament to both our reputation and
integrity in our industry. We believe Doug's very unique
insights into the HBS admission process will allow us to
help even more clients gain admission to this very
prestigious business school while simultaneously
improving on our already high success rate," states
David Petersam, President of AdmissionsConsultants, Inc.
