AdmissionsConsultants employs dozens of admissions
consultants who work directly with our clients. Collectively, our college admissions consultants have made accept, reject,
and waitlist decisions on tens of thousands of applications at highly selective
American colleges and
universities. Our consultants share their experience and insights with each
another, ensuring that our admissions knowledge is disseminated throughout the
Firm. We keep in regular contact with former colleagues still working in
admissions offices and interview admissions professionals at various colleges
each year in order to keep current on admissions
trends and policy changes. Furthermore, each year we conduct dozens of
interviews with admissions professionals at various colleges.

All of our consultants have served on admissions committees at the
most selective colleges and universities in the U.S. They have made accept,
reject, and waitlist decisions on the basis of applicant interviews, essays
and personal statements, letters of reference, SAT and ACT scores, and other
application material. They know
from personal experience what
differentiates a 'median' (50th percentile) applicant from an outstanding
(10th to 20th percentile) applicant.
We know exactly what admissions committees are looking for in applicants, and how
you can best present your own unique 'story' to them.
We appreciate that your admissions consultant will play a
decisive role in
determining your admissions chances and helping you chart your future career
goals. As a result, we only hire the most highly qualified consultants to
work for our Firm. We review about 100 resumes for every 1 job applicant we call
back, and we only hire about 1 out of every 5 job applicants that we
interview. The only applicants we invite to join the Firm are those who
demonstrate the proper knowledge of the
admissions process, excellent writing and interpersonal skills, and a true sense
of concern for their clients' welfare.

A college application represents a big decision. An
application that results in rejection means that, at best, you lose a year of
your time, along with the time and money you spent on preparing the
application. We believe in helping our clients
avoid such losses by identifying problems early on in the application
process. If you don't have a chance of gaining admission to a
particular school, we will tell you
so during the initial consultation. We will tell you exactly why your
application is weak, and what you would need to do to strengthen it. On the
other hand, we'll also tell you if you're aiming too low in your college
selection, and if there are more selective programs you should consider.

We do far more for our
clients than simply edit
their essays for grammar and style.
Colleges turn down plenty of applicants who submit grammatically-correct
essays and personal statements – you
need more than that to make you stand out from the crowd. Our comprehensive
admissions support will help you understand and manage the many parts of an
effective college application. We will make sure that your essays have the proper content to best
advocate your unique candidacy. We will also advise you on college selection,
essay strategy
and story formulation, letters of reference, resumes, application completion,
and interview preparation. We know that admissions committees are looking
for more than just technically-correct essays. Resumes, letters of reference,
extracurricular activities, work experience, volunteer experience, and interviewer
feedback are all
reviewed when committees make accept, reject, and waitlist decisions. As former admissions officers, we
know how these factors affect an application. This is why our
success rate is so high.

You
might be a better candidate than you realize. Your consultant will get to know you
in order to identify your unique strengths as a prospective student, and will help you
pull together those stories from your past that illustrate your gifts and
accomplishments. We've heard our clients say over and over again,
"I didn't know that story was worth writing!" Yet sometimes it is
precisely a hidden gem from your past that can make the difference to your applications.
We'll get to know you, and we will find the stories to make your
application stand out.

AdmissionsConsultants employs many college admissions consultants,
with many different areas of expertise. The two things
they all have in common are first-hand admissions committee experience and
professionalism in helping their clients gain admission to their top-choice
colleges.
We have consultants with admissions committee experience at Ivy League
schools, Big 10 schools, large public universities, and small private colleges. We also have a
consultant with music conservatory admissions committee experience – if you are hoping to
exploit a musical talent in your admissions quest, she is the perfect consultant
for you! We even have a consultant who was athletic liaison to the admissions
committee at a very selective Division 1A university.
Our consultants live all across the U.S. They will meet
clients in person, when geographic distance is not an issue.
