* Figures for Columbia reflect freshman
admissions to both Columbia College and to the School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences.
** Harvard, Princeton, and the
University of Virginia ended
their early application programs in 2007. Beginning with
the 2007-2008 application season, all applicants will
apply under the schools' regular application deadlines.
*** MIT typically defers the majority of its
EA applicants to the regular pool. The regular
acceptance rate for MIT therefore also reflects the
admissions outcomes for a large number of EA applicants.
† The University of Chicago will begin
using the Common Application in the 2007-2008
application season. We expect this to lead to a
substantially larger applicant pool and an acceptance
rate more in line with those of other top schools.
We have consultants with admissions committee
